{"id":1211,"date":"2023-10-15T00:00:11","date_gmt":"2023-10-15T00:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/apexnewssl.com\/?p=1211"},"modified":"2023-10-15T00:00:11","modified_gmt":"2023-10-15T00:00:11","slug":"government-vehicle-converted-senior-driver-in-jail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/apexnewssl.com\/?p=1211","title":{"rendered":"Government Vehicle Converted: Senior Driver In Jail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Senior driver of Transport Ministry Ishmael Conteh (accused) is before Magistrate Isata Sellu Tucker of Court No.2 Pademba road, Freetown, for fraudulently converted Ministry of Transport vehicle to himself.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday 11th October 2023, appear in Court on a Count of fraudulent conversation contrary to Section 20 (1) (iv) (a) of the Larceny Act 1916.<\/p>\n<p>According to the charge sheet, the accused Ishmael Conteh on Thursday 7th September 2023, at Youyi Building, Brookfields, Freetown, fraudulently converted to it own use\u00a0 or benefit certain property, that is to say , one white coloured Toyota Hilux vehicle with registration number ARY 371, valued four hundred and one thousand five hundred Leones (Le 401,500) entrusted to him by Dennis Kanara another senior driver of the Ministry of Transport and Aviation for the purpose of driving, property of the Ministry of Transport and Aviation Government of Republic of Sierra Leone.<\/p>\n<p>The accused is not represented and Magistrate Tucker refused the accused bail and remanded him custody until the 21st October 2023.
