He conveyed the encouraging news of IMO\u2019s commitment, describing it as a major step forward for Sierra Leone\u2019s maritime sector.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the Senior Permanent Secretary, Edward Kwame Yankson, the assurance of technical support came as a direct result of the impactful presentation delivered by Ambassador Alhaji Fanday Turay, Minister of Transport and Aviation, during the opening session of the General Assembly. The Minister\u2019s personal engagement with the IMO Secretary-General further strengthened Sierra Leone\u2019s case for enhanced maritime cooperation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The forthcoming support is expected to bolster Sierra Leone\u2019s maritime administration, improve compliance with international standards, and advance the nation\u2019s broader transport and aviation
