NASSIT Praises SLPHA For Safeguarding Employees Welfare & Benefits
The National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) has commended the Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority (SLPHA) for its continued compliance with social security regulations and its strong collaboration in safeguarding employees’ welfare and retirement benefits.
Speaking during a high-level engagement at the Queen Elizabeth II Quay on Tuesday 19th May, 2026, NASSIT Deputy Director General, Mohamed Edwin Kamara, praised SLPHA for its consistent cooperation, timely retirement notifications, and commitment to ensuring workers transition smoothly into retirement.
NASSIT also highlighted its “Project 54” initiative, aimed at helping pensioners process benefits efficiently and retire with dignity and confidence.
Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening partnership and improving pension administration for workers in Sierra Leone.
