Hope Chairity Foundation Donates to the Less Privileged
As part of their support to the poor, the needy and physically challenged, the Hope Charity Foundation on Saturday 21st October 2023, has donated learning materials, clothing and cash to the people of Mabroon, Newton and Maloko community respectively.
All of these communities are within the Western Rural Area of Freetown and are considered most deprived communities in the Western Rural Area of Freetown.
Making the presentation on behalf of the Hope Charity Foundation, the President Mr. Morlai Kamara inspired the beneficiaries not to give up, stating further that, just like other humanitarian organizations the Hope Charity Foundation is passionate about supporting people in need. He expressed further that the donation is to complement His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio’s Free Quality Education drive in making learning as of rights and not a privileged. He added that the children in the Western Rural Area were selected specifically because they are considered as the most deprived in the country. Mr. Kamara continued by stating that, the school materials will go a long way to meeting the learning needs of the deprived children.
Mr. Kamara further disclosed that the Hope Charity Foundation is a non-profitable organization that is passionate about helping the less privileged people within the country. He added that it was established on the 11th July 2021 with the sole aim of supporting the physically challenged, the needy and the poor in the country. He continued by stating that with the limited resources at hand they are currently challenged to undertake several humanitarians works in different communities in the country. Therefore, he has called for support as the organization is only funded by members through their monthly contributions. Since its establishment, he disclosed that they have supported the White Stone Community with funds to embark on water project in the community, adding that, they have also undertaken several street sensitization programs on national issues. He added that, they have also supported other communities with food and non-food items.
On behalf of the Government of Sierra Leone, the Coordinator of the Free Quality Education in the Western Area District, Mr. Abdul Karim Sesay registered the commitment of His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio in the Free Quality Education program of the SLPP led government. He further underscored that the government is still passionate about supporting the Free Quality Education program that seeks to provide equal opportunities to the less privilege school children in the country. on behalf of government, he called on parents, guardians, community stakeholders and teachers to support the government to succeed in the Free Quality Education drive.
