RCBank MD Honoured at 9th SLAAM Lifetime Achievement Awards
New York, June 7, 2024 — Dr. Ekundayo Walton Gilpin, Managing Director of Rokel Commercial Bank, was honored with a prestigious award for his exceptional leadership and dedicated service to humanity at the 9th Sierra Leone Association of Artists and Musicians (SLAAM) Awards. The SLAAM Awards annually convenes a diverse and talented group of individuals from around the world to showcase their dreams and aspirations. This year marks the ninth edition of the event, which has been honoring legends in various artistic categories for their lifelong contributions to their respective fields.
The nomination and voting process, overseen by the SLAAM Planning Team, ensures that only the best candidates are considered for the awards. The event has seen significant participation, with 300,000 votes cast in six days on the event website in 2023.
The 2024 SLAAM Lifetime Achievement Awards featured eminent personalities such as Yvonne E. Clarke (Humanitarian), Bosca Banks (Music), Felix Sandy (Sports), Vicky Fornah Hassan (Gospel), Alimatu Bateh Sangarie-Sammarie (Humanitarian), Pastor Bai Sesay (Leadership), Joseph Okito Nelson-Edwin (Comedy), Joseph Musa (Excellence), and Mohamed Mansaray (Theatre).
