World Blog Media (WBM), in partnership with Chapter One, is preparing to stage a boxing match and concert on Wednesday, December 16, 2026, with the aim of promoting unity, peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among Sierra Leonean entertainers and their supporters.

The event will feature a boxing contest between Bakitenno and Legacy Boi, alongside musical performances designed to bring together fans from different backgrounds. Speaking in an interview, Chapter One Operational Manager, Tawanda Chinodya, described the collaboration as a unique initiative intended to strengthen relationships among celebrities and discourage hostility within the entertainment industry.

Chinodya explained that the partnership was inspired by World Blog Media’s vision of encouraging artists to understand one another beyond their differences, particularly after performances and social media exchanges that sometimes create divisions among supporters.

He said Chapter One was proud to become part of the initiative, which seeks to use entertainment as a platform for bringing Sierra Leonean celebrities closer together.

According to Chinodya, the central message is that Sierra Leoneans remain one people despite disagreements, rivalries or differences in musical preferences.

He emphasised that the programme would encourage artists and their supporters to resolve disputes peacefully, embrace one another and recognise their shared identity.

Explaining why boxing and music were combined, Chinodya said the organisers wanted to attract different audiences, including boxing enthusiasts and music lovers. He stressed that the event was designed to bring the supporters of both entertainers together rather than deepen existing rivalries.

He also revealed that Bakitenno and Legacy Boi were expected to release a collaborative song, reinforcing the message that competition should not prevent artists from working together.

However, recognising the potential for emotional reactions among fans, Chinodya assured the public that security arrangements would be a priority. He said the organisers planned to deploy security personnel and scanning equipment to prevent prohibited weapons from entering the venue.

He appealed to supporters to attend with peaceful intentions, reminding them that the objective was to celebrate entertainment and strengthen relationships rather than turn the contest into a personal confrontation.

On the sporting arrangements, Chinodya said the organisers intended to provide appropriate protective equipment and ensure that both entertainers received training from boxing professionals before entering the ring. He emphasised the importance of following Sierra Leone’s applicable rules and regulations to protect the participants.

The event has also raised questions about coordination with the country’s recognised boxing authorities. Further clarity on the association’s involvement, the applicable competition rules, medical arrangements and the level of professional supervision will be important to ensuring the contest is conducted safely.

Chinodya further described Chapter One as a venue established to accommodate entertainment, hospitality and social activities, encouraging Sierra Leoneans to visit and experience its facilities.

For World Blog Media and Chapter One, the December programme represents an opportunity to demonstrate how entertainment can become a vehicle for promoting peace and discouraging hostility among celebrity fan bases.

As preparations continue, the organisers are urging supporters of Bakitenno and Legacy Boi to remember that rivalry should remain within the spirit of entertainment.

The ultimate message, Chinodya stressed, is that competition may bring artists into the ring, but unity must bring them together when the contest ends.
