Ahead Of Its First 2026 Inter-MDA’s Match… SLPHA Unveils ‘Waterfront Boys’ Jerseys

Ahead of its first match, the management of the Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority (SLPHA) has unveiled its jerseys for the ongoing 2026 Inter-Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) football championship competition.

The unveiling of the ‘Waterfront Boys’ jerseys was done by the Board Chairman, Hon. Manso Dumbuya, Director General, Yankuba Askia Bio and Deputy Director General, Judith Kosseh, in the presence of Directors and staff of the Authority on Monday 26th October, 2026.

Director General, Yankuba Askia Bio, called on SLPHA match coordinators to ensure proper pre-match arrangement to put SLPHA at an advantage position in the competition and subsequently secure the golden trophy. He warned that the competition should be treated with utmost seriousness, as other MDA’s are determined to clinch the trophy. He furthered that the SLPHA team should therefore show its fierce footballing prowess on the pitch of play, urging the technical team to prepare well and take every match seriously. “It used to be a comic league, but not anymore, so as your team captain, I want nothing besides that trophy,” Mr. Bio urged.

The ‘Water-front Boys’ will face the Office of the President in its opening match on Tuesday 27th October, 2026 at the National Stadium Practicing Field at 6:00 P.M.
