Man Sentenced to 18 Months Imprisonment

Alusine Dave, who made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura at Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown, had been sentenced to eighteen months imprisonment, after pleading guilty of committing larceny.
The accused person faced a count of Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of offence, sometimes in August 2nd, 2024, at Siaka Steven Street, in Freetown, did steal the lap top valued three thousand Leones (Le3, 500) property of Issa Turay.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person, he pleaded guilty.
The prosecutor Sergeant 9939 Mohamed Lahai explained to the Magistrate that fact as charge, no previous criminal records against the accused person.
The accused person pleaded for mercy with the Bench to temper justice with mercy on his behalf.
Due to the plea mitigation, Magistrate Kekura sentenced him to eighteen months imprisonment to the male correctional facility in Freetown.
